17 July 2026 – Today, MyDIGITAL Corporation, through its Rakyat Digital initiative, joined hands  with Selangor Youth Community (SAY) and The Asia Foundation for the Strivers’ Hub x MyDIGITAL outreach programme with participants from Pusat Pemulihan Narkotik (PUSPEN), Dengkil, Selangor.

The session introduced  34 participants to the Rakyat Digital platform and how it can support them in building basic digital skills. Participants also learned  about the use of  digital technologies in daily life, online safety, digital privacy and cybersecurity awareness. 

Through this programme, we hope to encourage more Malaysians to continue learning and feel more confident in using digital tools safely and responsibly.

This initiative supports the aspirations of Malaysia Digital 2030 (MD2030) to bring digital and AI awareness closer to communities across Malaysia, ensuring that no one is left behind in the country’s digital future.

“Malaysia has set the aspiration of KL20; to be the world’s top 20 innovation hub and startup ecosystem by 2030. Very ambitious but not impossible to achieve. Hence it is imperative to ensure the availability of local talents who will drive the country’s AI technology growth. Active efforts are being made to improve digital skills and re-skilling at all levels of society; from identifying challenges and opportunities in the digital talent landscape in Malaysia, to coordinating efforts to improve the school education curriculum. By fostering awareness and understanding of new technologies, we can turn doubt into hope, fear into empowerment and challenges into opportunities to attract digital talent to deepen knowledge and skills in new technologies including AI technology.” said Rafizi Ramli, Minister of Economy of Malaysia.

AI untuk Rakyat is an initiative to close the digital literacy gap among Malaysians. For students, this program can provide a basic overview of the world of AI which aims to attract their interest to enter and further build a career in this sector. For other groups of society, this program can provide a basic understanding of AI to promote better awareness and appreciation of a technology that is beneficial to individuals, society and ultimately the country.
