Challenge 2024\n(\u201cThe Challenge\u201d) concluded today with five innovative startups winning RM100,000 each\nin bridge funding to implement their proof-of-concept with their respective corporate\npartners.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-87b35ee elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"87b35ee\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Challenge is a joint initiative by the Malaysia Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution\n(\u201cMYCentre4IR\u201d) and Bursa Malaysia Berhad (\u201cBursa Malaysia\u201d or \u201cthe Exchange\u201d), seeking\nto find cutting-edge digital solutions aimed at enhancing the Environmental, Social, and\nGovernance (\u201cESG\u201d) e\ufb00orts of five Malaysian Public Listed Companies (\u201cPLCs\u201d), namely CJ\nCentury Logistics Holdings Berhad, Globetronics Technology Berhad, Malayan Banking\nBerhad, REDtone Digital Berhad and Sunway Innovation Labs (representing Sunway\nGroup).\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-588e752 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"588e752\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLaunched on 1 August 2024, the Challenge attracted local and international participants,\nincluding from the United States of America, Sweden, Canada, India, Singapore and\nNamibia. 32 out of 100 total submissions came from establishment of the <em>National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO)<\/em> will be instrumental in positioning Malaysia as an AI leader. &#8220;NAIO will serve as a central authority, ensuring coordinated and strategic alignment of Malaysia\u2019s AI efforts,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fb01fa1 This culminated with the selection of five winners, with\none winning solution corresponding to each of the five PLCs.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7879ca9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7879ca9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe RM100,000 in bridge funding for each winner will be co-disbursed in stages by\nMYCentre4IR and Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd for the implementation of the proof-of-concept\npilot projects. Their platform integrates IoT hardware and data\nanalytics to streamline environmental impact assessments, o\ufb00ering features such as\nreal-time vehicle and route analysis. By consolidating data, Greenetrix simplifies\ncarbon calculations and compliance, empowering businesses to enhance\nsustainability and operational e\ufb03ciency.<br><br>\n\n<li><strong>Wiser Machines from the United States of America (Corporate Partner:\nGlobetronics Technology Berhad)<\/strong><br>\nWiser Machines, an Atlanta-based start-up from Georgia Tech\u2019s CREATE-X\nprogramme, develops scalable industrial IoT solutions. Their innovative hardware\nconnects to equipment in a plug-and-play fashion, tracking energy consumption and\nmachine health. Paired with AI-driven software, it visualises performance data,\nprovides carbon reports, and predicts machine failures for e\ufb03cient operations.<br><br>\n\n<li><strong>The Surpluss from The United Arab Emirates (Corporate Partner: Malayan Banking\nBerhad)<\/strong><br>\nThe Surpluss is a climate technology company focused on enabling SMEs to adopt\ncircular economy practices by optimising waste, by-products, and unused resources.\nTheir platform intelligently maps and matches surplus materials with local businesses,\nfacilitating collaborations that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs\nwhile creating new revenue opportunities for participating SMEs.<br><br>\n\n<li><strong>Pacton Technologies Sdn Bhd from Malaysia (Corporate Partner: REDtone Digital\nBerhad)<\/strong><br>\nPacton Technologies, a leader in AI and IoT, transforms aquaculture with FishSpeak,\no\ufb00ering real-time data and predictive insights.
